1. There shall be a systematic program of review of each ACPE standard and the standards as a whole, incorporating input from ACPE members and relevant constituencies with the goal of revising the standards on a five-year cycle.

2. The corresponding manuals/workbooks for the Accreditation, Certification and Professional Ethics Commissions shall be published to coincide with the publication of revised standards.

3. The Board shall be provided a report of each Commission’s review of standards. The Board may appoint special task forces as needed to assist in conducting the annual activities related to the review of standards.

4. Using Year 1 as the Publication Year, the five-year cycle shall be as follows:

Year 1 – Publication of revised standards and manuals/workbooks.

Years 2 and 3 – Solicitation of feedback on the published standards from the ACPE membership through the ACPE newsletter, accreditation site visits, focus groups at national, regional and other ACPE-related meetings, and surveys of cognate groups and the public.

Year 4 – Revision process, based on data collected in years two and three with input from the Accreditation, Certification and Professional Ethics Commissions.

Year 5 –Publication of Study Document for review by membership and relevant constituencies; submission to Board for approval. Approved changes shall be published on the ACPE website and announced in the ACPE newsletter before taking effect.
