EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE ACTIONS

VOTED EC 24.01.01
The Executive Committee voted to appoint one of the following to the OKVC Laity seat on the nominating committee: Mackenzie Rice, Robyn Rice, Robin Snyder, or Pat Schillings. The first in order to accept will be appointed.

VOTED EC 24.01.02
The Executive Committee voted to select the nominees for Church Council of the ELCA by election, thus placing said election under the purview of the Nominating Committee.

VOTED EC 24.01.03
The Executive Committee voted to advise the Churchwide Organization that we leave the question of whether the Churchwide Representative shall attend SA 2024 to its discretion, gladly welcoming the representative should she attend but fully supporting any decision based upon stewardship of Churchwide resources.
If Churchwide does not send a representative in person but only by a video or written report, then Riegel will appoint a committee to review the representative’s report and prepare an in person description of said report to SA 2024.

VOTED EC 24.01.04
The Executive Committee voted to invite clergy and church council representatives from the Mon Valley Conference to the Synod Council meeting in Morgantown on 16 March 2024. Council will listen and ask questions of the representatives from 10 to 11:30 AM after which the Council business meeting will commence.
