Before a test can be assigned properly to users you must create an association between the test and any media (video, audio or PDF). An association can be done during the upload process or from the “Utility Menu” by selecting “Change or Assign Test to Media”. This method creates a one-to-one relationship between a test and media, however in the recent upgrade we now allow you to associate many media segments (files) to one test via the new “Multiple Media to Test Associations” routine found on the Utility Menu. One consideration is that when you create multiple media to a test, the method of reducing your test credits will change from a one-to-one method to a 2 media to 1 test credit. An example of this would be associating three media video’s to a test. The “cost” of this would then be 3/1.5 or 2 testing credits. If you only have 2 videos the cost is 1 testing credit. If you have 4 it is still only 2 testing credits or 4/1.5 rounded to 2. This gives you the flexibility to modularize your media content and then test at the end of all of the viewing of the content.
Select the media to associate with a test. Please note that when in the one-to-one method a single test can only be associated to one (video/audio) file and one PDF but media files can be associated with multiple tests. To associate both a Video or Audion and a PDF first associate the Video/Audio and then go back to the media selection and select the PDF and associate that to the same test. Remember, if you want to associate multiple videos to a test you can do that using the new “Multiple Media to Test Associations” routine found on the Utility Menu. You MUST however choose one or the other methods of association but not both.
Now make any associations by selecting the “Test Association” from the drop-down menu (if one exists it will be selected) if you are disassociating a test then select “NONE”. Be aware that any media left unassociated with a test for longer than 24 hours will be deleted from CIRATS.
You may also change the medias listing description here and the security level. If you raise the security level too high however you will make it invisible to some users with lower security levels.
