Responsibilities
PostProcess will coordinate shipping to the customer’s facility as quoted. Please provide detailed shipping/receiving instructions to PostProcess prior to shipment. The customer is also required to transport the machine from the loading dock to the prepared installation location.
A PostProcess Applications Engineer will be on-site to perform the installation, training, and integration and should be present during the machine’s uncrating. If the customer chooses to uncrate without a PostProcess representative on site they assume the liability for any damage or repair needed.
Delivery and Unpacking
The LEVO will be delivered in a wooden crate with a pallet as the base. A forklift and/or pallet jack will be required to transport the machine from the loading dock to the installation site. A forklift will be needed to unload the machine from the crate. Please ensure the appropriate transport equipment and operators are available at the time of delivery.
Inspecting for Damage
Please be sure to check all packages for any damage that may have occurred during transit. If a PostProcess Technologies employee is not present when the shipment arrives, it is the responsibility of the receiving party to inspect the product for damage at the time of delivery. Before signing the delivery receipt, note if any Shock Sensors or Tip ‘n’ Tell indicators have been triggered and ensure the number of packages match the bill of receipt.
What to Do If Product is Damaged
If the product is damaged in any way, call a PostProcess Technologies Applications Engineer or one of our offices. For shipments received in the USA and Canada call +1.866.430.5354 for our Buffalo, NY office. For shipments received in Europe call +33 (0)4 22 32 68 13 for our Sophia Antipolis, France office.
If damage did occur during transit, any and all damage must be noted on the bill of receipt in detail and signed by the driver. A copy of the bill of receipt needs to be emailed to PostProcess Technologies for a damage claim to be filed with the trucking company, on your behalf. When possible, please photograph the damaged product on the truck and off the truck for evidence that will assist with a product damage claim.
Crate Dimensions
The figure below shows the length, width, and height of the LEVO shipping crate. The LEVO with the crate weighs approximately 453.6 kg (1,000 lbs). A second pallet with PostProcess consumables will also be delivered.
