Filter Screen Maintenance

The screen filter refers to the mesh screen filter that is positioned on the left side of the tank in the overflow area.
To maintain the process efficiency of the DEMI 800 Series, it is important to keep the screen filter free of support material and other residues that may impede the flow of detergent within the system.

  • The Screen Maintenance Scheduling slider bar sets the number of operational hours that the DEMI 800 Series should run before the filter screens are cleaned. The number of hours can be set by pressing the desired number or by using the + / – buttons. Once the filter screens have been cleaned, press the RESET SCREEN SCHEDULE button to reset the Remaining Optimal Usage countdown.
  • The Remaining Optimal Usage Gauge displays the remaining percentage of filter screen life in hours. As the time counts down the gauge will turn to yellow and then red when it is time for filter screen cleaning.
  • Refer to Routine Maintenance for details on performing filter maintenance.

Cartidge Filter Maintenance

The Cartidge Filter Maintenance screen is used to view real-time pressure sensor data and adjust the allowable threshold. This provides an indicator that the cartridge filter may need to be cleaned or replaced.

  • The Current Pressure Delta displays the relative efficiency of the filtering system due to pressure caused by support material buildup in the cartridge filter.
The delta icon Δ reading shows the difference between the sensors located before and after the cartridge filter.
The outputs to the right display each real-time pressure sensor reading. The pump must be on to achieve a reading.
  • The Pressure Delta Configuration slider bar is utilized to set the maximum allowable pressure delta across the cartridge filter. A PostProcess Applications Engineer will set this parameter during installation. The pressure can be adjusted by pressing the + / – buttons. To save this setting, press the SET FILTER PRESSURE DELTA button.
  • Refer to Routine Maintenance for details on performing filter maintenance.
