The DEMI 800 Series can be operated in a completely manual mode. It is important to keep in mind that the configured AUTOMAT3D mode is optimized for the most efficient operation. However, manual mode may be preferred when a user is experimenting with new geometries or parameters.

From the Home screen, press the MANUAL button to access the Manual Run screen

The buttons along the bottom of the screen control the available mechanical functions of the DEMI 800 Series. Any function that is active will have an orange highlighted slider. Press the respective button to turn off, which will grey out the slider. Below, the functions are explained in detail.

  • TEMPERATURE LIMIT + / – – Use the slider to set a temperature limit for the liquid detergent in the DEMI 800 Series. The current average tank temperature is displayed above the slider.
For models -09, -10, -11, and -12, the Temperature Limit slider is not used and will not be displayed.
  • ULTRASONICS LEVEL + / – – Use the slider to adjust the ultrasonics output percentage. If this is set too high too quickly, the ultrasonics may not have proper time to degas and generate noise.
NOTE: The ultrasonics do generate heat.
  • ULTRASONICS – Turn the DEMI 800 Series ultrasonics agitation on and off. If operating in Manual Mode, the ULTRASONICS button must be turned on to operate at Ultrasonic Level setpoint.
Models -11 and -12 do not have ultrasonics. Therefore the Ultrasonics button will not be displayed.
NOTE: the ultrasonics do generate heat.
  • PUMP – Turn the DEMI 800 Series agitation pump on and off.
  • HEATER – If operating in Manual Mode, the HEATER button must be turned on to allow the detergent in the tank to heat up to the temperature setpoint.
For models -09, -10, -11, and -12, the HEATER button is not used and will not be displayed.
  • FAN – Turn on the fans in the cabinet below the tank to keep the DEMI 800 Series processing tank at the desired temperature. In Auto Run Mode, the software will turn the fans on automatically to perform this function.
