When the vehicle ignition is on, it is easy to stream live video from the vehicle (click on the camera icon), or to review the footage (click on the eye) stored on the camera onboard the vehicle.
When the vehicle ignition is off, you can, of course, still request a download (click on the ‘play’ triangle). Your request will be queued until the vehicle is active.
- Please note that the vehicle status shown in Gateway/ Videomatics is close to live – but a slight delay of up to 5 minutes is possible. That is, the vehicle may display as green for a few minutes after the ignition is turned off, turning to red on the next update of live reporting. If you try to access a camera onboard during that time, the access will fail as the ignition is off on the vehicle. This is the most likely explanation for a failure to connect, so please wait five minutes before contacting support in the event of failure to connect to a vehicle’s camera. Thank you.
