Installation Problems.

  • Verify that the CAN cables are correctly connected to both the GSR and the audio module.
  • Check the installation wires, their condition, and/or the conduit. Ensure there are no kinks, cuts, proper connections to the connectors, and no electrical noise interference throughout the installation.
  • Simulate the installation under optimal conditions by connecting it with short cables (operating only on battery). If the audio module works with short wires, the issue may be related to the condition of the GSR-to-cabin installation, wires length, or some peculiarity of the installation.
  • Verify that the configuration switches on the audio module are set correctly. The configured identifier (ID) must be unique for each module.
  • Check the correct position of the switch that enables/disables the bus termination resistor on the audio modules.
  • To rule out an issue with loading the configuration on the GSR, restart the GSR, either by turning it off and on using the physical button if on-site or by sending an SMS to the phone number of the SIM card installed in the GSR with the command to restart it:
