Data structure for files to be imported in CadConnect

The import of Excel-files to CadConnect can handle 3 different file-layouts / structure.
Setup-Parameters and selections in the actual import must follow the chosen structure.

1. One-Dim. Level, Multi-Dim. Level or Parent/child

a. Excel import structure is set to One-Dim. Level.

b. The excel file must include a Level-column, which defines the levels and relations between the lines in the file as in the following example.
If you do not have a column with Level-indications, you can still import your file. CadConnect will then set all lines to be on upper level 0.

c. In the import sheet, the Level column must be defined accordingly.

2. Multi-Dim. Level

a. Excel import structure is set to Multi-Dim. Level.

b. The excel file must include a Position-column, which defines the levels and relations between the lines in the file

c. In the import sheet, the Level column must be defined accordingly.

3. Parent/Child

a. Excel import structure is set to Parent/Child.

b. The excel file must include a Parent-column and an item-column, which defines the levels and relations between the lines in the file.

c. In the import sheet, the Parent and child columns must be defined accordingly.
