Criteria for Selection of Students for Full-Time Practicum

FALL Practicum is ONLY open to second-year students who have completed all of their pre-requisites and only have practicum completion remaining

SPRING Practicum is open to any first or second-year student providing they meet the criteria noted below.

All other criteria for participation in a social work practicum apply including the completion of all prerequisites, required documentation, police information record checks, and child intervention checks. In the event that there are more students interested in spring practicum than there are spaces available, the criteria for inclusion will include consideration first for those of you who have been in the program for the longest period of time or require practicum as the final completion of the program.

Further to this, the faculty may consider the extenuating circumstances and feasibility of the completion of the focused practicum activity.
