Child Intervention Record (CIR) Check and Police Information Check (PIC)

The Practicum Coordinator will provide information on the process of applying for the Child Intervention Check and the Police Information Check, When the completed check is returned to you by Children’s Services or the Police you must submit these documents to the Practicum Coordinator no later than October 15th.

• The completion of these checks is mandatory and you CAN NOT enter practicum without them.
• These checks take several weeks to complete so it is IMPORTANT that you submit these at the beginning of the fall semester
• You will require new checks for each of the practicum courses SLWK 1287 and SLWK 2297
