Chart of Accounts means a classification structure for the accounting system that permits standardizing reported financial data.
The standardization facilitates analyses within and between school districts. It allows for statewide reporting in publications such as the “Taxpayers Guide to Education Spending” and allows the NJDOE to monitor spending based on various dimensions.
