Interfacing is pleased to introduce a new feature that enables users to edit their Microsoft documents directly in EPC, eliminating the need to switch between applications and manually download/upload files for each version.
Benefits
- Improved Efficiency & Productivity: By editing their documents directly in EPC, users can save time and work more efficiently.
- Streamlined Document Management: Users can now store and edit all their files in one place within EPC, eliminating the need to keep a local copy. This helps to minimize errors when updating documentation and streamlines the overall document management process.
How it works
To edit a Microsoft document in EPC, users simply need to select the button in either the Edit dropdown or the Edit Document form. This will open the document in a new tab within the user’s web browser, where they can make the necessary changes.
After the user has made their modifications, they can simply close the Office 365 editor tab. A pop-up window will then appear in EPC, prompting the user to save their changes.
Clicking “Save and Close” will automatically save the user’s changes back to EPC (and will also close the Microsoft Office Tab if still open), where they can view the updated document. Alternatively, to discard their changes, users can click on the “Cancel” button.
