ActiveControl Unit Test Automation capability hooks into standard SAP functionality available within SAP Code Inspector, and can be used to:
1) run automatically at the point of transport release in the SAPGUI – ensuring that Developers are aware of unit testing issues.
2) run automatically as a ShiftLeft Analyser in the Web UI and Windows GUI, to ensure that Approvers also get visibility of non-adherent transports.
Configuring Unit Test Automation
Step | Configuration |
---|---|
1. | The unit test automation on transport release is switched on in table /BTI/TE_ACTIVE in the domain controller by adding the Unit test on release active function for the relevant development system. |
2. | The SAP Code Inspector variant and user parameter also needs to be configured in the Domain Controller in backend table /BTI/TE_ACTPARMS. |
3. | Switching on ShiftLeft: Unit Test Automation. |
