Validating Rules
The Rules Test Harness is a really useful tool for testing configuration and troubleshooting issues. When creating new rules or maintaining existing ones, it is strongly recommended to evaluate some transports with the Rules Harness, to check that the configuration is working as expected.
Error Logging
Unlike the historical /BTI/TE_SKIPCP, a new error logging capability is included as part of the Rules Engine. This error logging is aimed at helping customers quickly identify and troubleshoot configuration errors in their setup during the implementation or ongoing maintenance of the Rules Engine.
Errors are logged within the “System and RFC Errors” section of the Windows GUI, and are also sent to ActiveControl Administrators via email notification, if the corresponding ‘System Errors’ notification is switched on within /BTI/TE_RNOTIFICATION_ENGINE variant.
