Defining Mandatory Fields

It is possible to configure standard fields on Business Tasks and Transport Forms as Mandatory fields, to force users to populate them at the point of creating the Transport Form or Business Task. If a mandatory field is not populated, the Transport Form or Task cannot be saved.

Mandatory fields are defined by ActiveControl Administrators on the [Fields] tab of the Windows GUI configuration screen.

*Some fields must be mandatory by default for ActiveControl to function correctly. For example, if the Transport Form Group is not populated, it would impact the Approvals workflow. Similarly, if you are using some of the standard fields to drive your workflow or skipping rules, it would be advisable to make all such fields mandatory.
