Floor nominations are allowed under the synod’s rules. Those wishing to make a floor nomination should review the Report of the Nominating Committee (which contains the list of positions to be elected and the coordinate names of those being nominated by the Nominating Committee). Review also the information found on the Nominations & Elections webpage prior to the assembly.
The nominator is responsible for producing and providing 125 copies for distribution to Synod Assembly voting members at the time the nomination is made on the floor. When the nomination is made on the floor, present the copies to the chair.
Submit to the chair, at the time the nomination is made, three copies of the “Floor Nomination Form” (downloadable below).

- Position for which the person is nominated
- Nominee’s name
- Nominee’s congregation of membership

- Church service and/or experience, training, and education
- Nominator’s name
- Nominator’s phone number
