Starting a Backup

To start a backup, simply plug your device’s charging cable into your Android device. Omega DataCube will automatically begin backing up your photos, videos, audio, documents, and contacts when your phone begins charging.

!NOTE: The above steps assume you left the Omega DataCube plugged into your phone charger as described in “Setting Up and Attaching Your Omega DataCube” which is recommended.

You can also manually start a backup by doing the following:

Step 1. Ensure the Micro SD card is inserted into the Omega DataCube and your Android device is properly attached to the Omega DataCube.

Step 2. Open the Omega DataCube app.

Step 3. Tap on “Phone Backup”.

Step 4. Tap “Start now!”
