This setting adds a XHTML 1.0 DOCTYPE line to the generated pages of the myShop system. This will not make the generated page XHTML 1.0 compatible, but will make MSInternet Explorer behave like a XHTML 1.0 compatible browser, thus eliminating differences you might find between local and online view of your templates.
