- First week of August – IT updates the student database by exiting graduates and adding incoming students.
- August through September – IT uploads a full file from the student system to NJSMART twice weekly.
- August through September – Counseling Supervisors and the Director of Special Services review NJSMART data to correct any errors in the student database.
- October 1 through 14 – IT and the Registrar review errors and assist in the elimination of errors.
- October 13 – Last day for Business Office to process lunch applications until October 16.
- October 15 – NJSMART is locked at end of business day.
- October 15 – Business Office generates reports from the POS System in spreadsheet format for active students only.
- October 16 through November 1 – Business Administrator works with the NJSMART/ASPEN file to create ASSA workpapers.
- November 1 – The IT Director issues a survey to all staff and board members. Recipients must identify the names of their students enrolled at MHRD. This information is used to cross-check the free and reduced lunch applications and support NJDOE Workpaper 13.
- On or about November 2 – The ASSA application in Homeroom is opened by NJDOE with preloaded data from the NJSMART file from October 15th.
- November 3 through November 30 – ASSA information is modified to agree with workpapers.
- On or about December 3 – ASSA information is certified by BA and Superintendent and submitted to NJDOE.
