A Quick Word on Web Browsers

Orchid Alto VMS supports Web Real-Time Communication (WebRTC). This technology allows for viewing full-bandwidth, live and recorded H264 video streams within a web browser (without the need to download a plugin). Orchid Alto VMS with WebRTC mode is available in the following browsers:

• (Preferred) Google Chrome, version 66 or higher, in a MacOS, Windows, or Linux desktop environment, or on a mobile device
• Latest version of Safari (mobile and desktop)
• Latest version of Mozilla Firefox
• Latest version of Microsoft Edge

*The following web browsers are explicitly not supported: Internet Explorer 11, Firefox 52 ESR, and any Google Chrome version older than version 48.
