Desktop runtime is necessary to run the Admin Browser Agent (ABA) User Interface and services that interface with Celiveo 365 in the cloud. Admin Browser Agent requires ports to be open in order to operate, further information in Ports and Communications. The ABA installation uses a signed Powershell script that needs to be authorized if your company deploys a policy with PowerShell ConstrainedLanguage Mode. Such policy will stop any unauthorized Powershell script from running and as a result the ABA installation will fail. The best is to exclude temporarily from the policy the following directory: %USERPROFILE%\\ABA , that’s where the ABA PS will be run from. | Admin Browser Agent, when Ricoh SOP 2.x/3.x printers are used | JRE (Java SE Runtime Environment) 8, OpenJDK 8 or Corretto 8 | JRE (Java SE Runtime Environment) 8, OpenJDK 8 or Corretto 8 needs to be installed on the PC where the administrator uses Celiveo 365 web portal to add and sync Ricoh printers. This requirement is specific to Ricoh as Celiveo 365 has to rely on RXOP, a Ricoh-supplied module to deploy the agent to Ricoh printers, only available as a Java tool. The Celiveo 365 ABA (Admin Browser Agent) invoked from the browser to add/sync/remove printers is calling that RXOP module for Ricoh printers. |
