The trailer is a crucial component in the deployment and recovery of RWCs. Proper trailer maintenance and handling are essential to ensure the safe and efficient transport of the craft.
Types of Trailers:
- Single Trailers: Designed to transport one RWC. These trailers are easy to manoeuvre and are suitable for beach and/or boat ramp launches.
- Front Facing Trailers: Designed to transport a single RWC facing forward with the nose of the RWC towards the trailer A-frame drawbar
- Rear Facing Trailers: Designed to transport a single RWC facing backwards with the rear of the RWC towards the trailer A-frame drawbar
- Tandem Trailers: Designed to transport two RWCs. These trailers can simultaneously transport two RWCs and are suitable for boat ramp launches. Beach launching and retrieval from a double trailer should not be attempted due to greater weight, height of the trailer, potential for damage and challenges with recovery of skis.
