Sensor Port

Sensor Connector Plug
Part Number Degson 8EDGK-25-04P-11
Wire Size 28 – 20 AWG (0.2 – 0.5 mm 2)
Strip Length 5 – 6 mm

Each Module is equipped with two removable cage-clamp style plug connectors. These are used to connect a photo sensor and an optional Aux input device to the module. Both of these inputs are auto-sensing for PNP or NPN circuit type such that both sourcing and sinking current will activate the input based upon the following conditions:

Minimum ON Current 1.5 mA
Maximum OFF Current 0.4 mA

Sensor Port 24VDC (Pin 1) and GND (Pin 3)

Pin 1 of each Sensor Port provides 24V for powering up a sensor device and/or for supplying the load for the AUX input. The available current for the two ports on the module is limited internally by a solid-state fuse. The maximum combined current consumption for the two sensor ports is 100 mA.

Motor Port

Supported motor types 3 phase BLDC motors with 3 Hall Effect sensors
PWM frequency 25kHz +/- 0.1%
Maximum starting current 3A per Motor Port
Maximum rated current 2.5A per Motor Port
Motor Protection* Coil-to-coil short, coil-to-Vcc short, overheating, over-voltage, under-voltage, stall sensing and protection

Motor Ports in Digital IO Mode as Outputs

Motor Coil Pins 3, 4, & 5

In certain modes of operation (PLC I/O and ConveyLogix PLC), Pins 3,4, and 5 can each be independently switched on and off as general purpose digital outputs. Any individual pin can sink up to 1A to ground in these modes, but the total for all 3 pins combined cannot exceed 1.5A. In general purpose I/O mode, these pins cannot source current.

Ethernet

• 3 port integrated switch ( 2 external ports and 1 port for the on-board processor)
• Automatic speed setup (10Base-T / 100Base-TX)
• Automatic duplex configuration (Full / Half)
• Automatic straight/crossover cable detection ( Auto MDI/MDI-X)
• PAUSE frame support
• Back pressure flow control support
• Maximum segment length: 100m / 328ft

Supported Protocols

• Modbus/TCP
• EtherNet/IP
• Profinet IO
