Keeping the sediment pump tube lubricated will significantly increase its life. To lubricate the sediment pump tube, perform the following:
- Unfasten the two clips on the sediment pump and open the hood.
- Inspect the tube for cracking or wear. If worn, replace the tube.
- Apply a bead of synthetic grease with PTFE to the lip of the hood.
- Close the hood and refasten the two clips.
- Check by running the sediment pump in Manual Mode and verifying that the sediment pump draws waste from the sediment tank.
