REPLACE BOOM SUPPORT ASSEMBLY
Disconnect wire connection.
Loosen gnarled tension nut.
Remove retaining screw, boom support knob, friction spacer, and slotted boom spacer.
Removal of boom support mounting nut is not required to replace the microphone. To inspect under boom support mounting nut for cracks, remove the lower slotted spacer, hold the mounting nut with a 7/32 wrench and simultaneously unscrew retaining nut from within the helmet. Do not over-torque when re-installing mounting nut to prevent cracking helmet shell.
If helmet shell has hairline cracks around microphone mounting nut, return the helmet to Paraclete for refurbishment.
Align new microphone boom in lower slotted boom spacer.
Align upper slotted boom spacer, install friction spacer, gnarled tension nut and retaining screw. Connect wire connection.
