Ear Cup Assembly

EAR CUP ASSEMBLY

• Inspect for general condition; ensure nothing is loose, broken, torn or missing.
• Inspect outer Ear Seal for condition and that it is still securely adhered to the ear-cups.
• Speakers have no intermittent operation or noticeable disparity in volume between the right and left ear-cups. Must be connected to power source to test.
• Inspect left and right ear-cups for cracks, none allowed as they may compromise impact absorption during impact.
• Inspect wires and grommet securing communication assembly in the ear cups for signs of fraying or pulling.
• If any of the above inspections find an unsatisfactory condition contact Paraclete or a trained local ALSE Technician for replacement of deficient components.

If the helmet includes the legacy ear or TruC™ ear seal, peel the ear seal away from the ear cup. The TruC™ will require the glue ring peeled away.

Gently push in against speaker (earphone) covering to expose a gap. Use a finger to flex the speaker cover and work out the earcup’s retaining lip. The speaker is seated inside of the receive retainer so only the outer edges will flex allowing the speaker in the center to pass through the hole.

Remove the speaker from the protective foam.

Loosen the speaker set screws to allow the speaker wire to pull free.

Replace the speaker

To reassemble, reverse disassembly steps.
If legacy ear seals are used, turn the edges onto themselves. Flip the edge of the ear seal onto the edge of the ear cup. Stretch the edges of the ear seal over the edges of the ear cup.
