The Lightning Conductor Web Part (LCWP) for Microsoft® SharePoint® 2010, allows you to easily build a cross site collection or cross web application rollup of list items or files, build a view, and apply formatting and conditional formatting to your aggregated content without the need to build complicated view templates or create XSLT. The LCWP provides you with an alternative to the Content Query Web Part (CQWP), which requires the use of SharePoint Server 2010 Enterprise. The LCWP can be used on any version of a SharePoint 2010 on-premises installation, that is, the Web Part can be used on pages in an on-premises installation of SharePoint Foundation 2010 or SharePoint Server 2010 (Standard and Enterprise editions) .
