If you have more than one page of registered cameras, the software will automatically activate the camera search and page navigation. Especially useful with large systems, these tools will help you find specific cameras quickly.

Search the Cameras List

The Camera Search field will appear at the top of the Camera Configuration screen. It supports searching by the camera name, using single and multiple-word search tags. Beginning with version 24.12, Orchid Recorder also supports searching by camera status and by camera tags.

Search by Camera Name

  1. Click into the Search field to start your search.
  2. Type one or more search tags (clicking Enter after each).
    1. A single search tag with multiple terms (words or numbers) will initiate a search for results that include all of the terms, in order.
    2. Multiple, single-term search tags will initiate a search for results that include at least one of those tags.

Each time you press Enter, the search term will appear beneath the Search field, and the Camera Configuration screen will update to display a list of all of the cameras that contain the term(s).

  1. Click the X to the right of the search tag to remove the search tag.
  2. Click the Reset button to remove all of the search tags.

Search by Camera Status

  1. Click the Status drop-down list to start your search.
  2. Mark one or more status boxes that represent the cameras you want to view.

Each time you mark a box, the search term will appear beneath the Search field, and the Camera Configuration screen will update to display a list of all of the cameras that match the selected status.

  1. Unmark a status box to remove those cameras from the search results.
  2. You may also click the X to the right of the status search tag to remove the search tag.
  3. Click the Reset button to remove all of the search tags.

Search by Camera Tag

  1. Click the Tag drop-down list to start your search.
