4.9.3. Export Settings

Manage the default settings and hardware parameters used for exports here.

Performance

These settings determine how much of your system resources are allocated to Imerge export tasks.

• Processor usage: For systems with multiple CPU cores, you can specify how many cores will be used for Imerge exports. The number of cores selected here determines how many export tasks can be processed concurrently.
• Memory usage: Specify how much of the system RAM is available for Imerge to access when exporting.

Options

• Auto start export: Enable this option to have export jobs start immediately when added to the queue. Disable it if you wish to add multiple jobs to the queue, and manually start exporting them all at once.
• Auto expand new jobs: Enable this option to have export jobs auto expand in the Export queue, so the individual images within the job are visible.
• Conflict resolution: Determine how file name conflicts are handled. If an exported image cannot be saved because there is already an existing image at its intended destination which uses the desired file name, this setting tells Imerge how to handle the situation.
  • Always ask: This option alerts you every time an export conflict arises, so you can choose how to handle them on a per-case basis.
  • Skip: This option cancels any export tasks where there is a conflict, keeping the older image intact.
  • Overwrite: This option replaces the older image with the new one.
  • Keep both: This option keeps both images. The older image remains intact, and the new export is saved with an iteration number added to its file name.
• Default folder: Select the default destination folder to which new export jobs will be assigned.

Metadata

You can enter specific metadata here, including copyright information, to automatically add it to the metadata of all images you export. Metadata is never visibly displayed on the images, but is stored in the image file for proof of copyright.

• Export metadata: Specify what metadata is added to your exported images.
  • Edit overrides: Click this button to open the metadata editor.
    • Contact: Enter contact info here, including Author, Author Title, Address, City, Region, Postcode/Zip,Country, Phone, Email, and Website.
    • Rights: Enter rights and copyright info, including Copyright, Rights Marked, Statement, URL, CC, More perms URL, Attribution URL, and Attribution name.
