When you download and install the app on your device, you will need to download your first map. The app will detect your country automatically based on your internet connection, and suggest to download the map of your current country, or you can choose which maps you want to download, by tapping “choose another map”.
After you select what maps to download, you will be asked for a set of permissions. The first should be the device location permission – this permission must be enabled “while using the app”, the app requires it to perform its primary function – navigation. The second permission is the notifications permission – this permission is not mandatory, although some features of the app require it to work even if Sygic is not running on the main screen.
The app then asks you to agree with our standard privacy policy and then also regarding data processing with 3rd parties that the app collects. More information about how the app processes your data can be found on our website – Privacy Policy.
