Most instances where the DEMI 400 Series is not performing to expectations can be easily resolved by simple troubleshooting procedures.
Below is a list of issues that may arise during post-processing operations.
- There is a decrease in detergent flow from the agitation pump
- Step 1) Verify that the agitation pump is running.
- Step 2) Check the tank drain and screen for residue buildup and clean as necessary.
- Step 3) Inspect the screen filter inside the DEMI 400 Series. Clear away any obstructions or blockages. See Clean Screen Filter for information about accessing and cleaning the filter.
- The alarm button is active and the DEMI 400 Series will not operate
- Review the ALARMS & WARNING section to see the various alarm codes and how to clear them.
- The DEMI 400 Series touch screen is not reacting properly.
- If the DEMI 400 Series touchscreen is behaving abnormally, press the POWER button to shut the system down, wait 20 seconds, then press the POWER button to power the system back up.
This action reboots the computer system and should return the touchscreen to normal operation. If this does not resolve the issue, contact PostProcess support.
- The internal passages of the part are not fully cleaned.
- If the internal passages of a particular printed part are not being fully cleaned during post-processing, there are a few steps that can be taken to improve the support removal process.
- Step 1) It is important for the detergents to reach the areas that need cleaning. When a part with deep channels or blind holes is being processed, try different agitation levels to ensure that the internal cavities of the part are being exposed to higher energy levels and detergent.
- Step 2) For the detergents to work properly, the surface area to be cleaned must be accessible to the liquids. To aid the removal of support, it is beneficial to prep internal cavities and other areas with dense support build-up. Consider removing large accessible volumes of support by hand, or clearing a pathway within internal cavities for increased detergent accessibility.
- Water or liquids are leaking inside of or around the DEMI 400 Series.
- During manufacturing, all the DEMI 400 Series plumbing fixtures were affixed and sealed using industrial-grade materials. If any of the plumbing connections, pipes, or hoses begin to leak, shut down the DEMI 400 Series and contact PostProcess Support for further instruction.
- The DEMI 400 Series is not stationary or stable
- The DEMI 400 Series was designed with casters with locks. They can be leveled using the included horseshow shims if being used on non-level floors.
- Where can I find the DEMI 400 Series serial number?
- The serial number can be found on the right rear panel near the back of the machine and will resemble the ID plate as shown below.
