The BASE can be operated in a completely manual mode. It is important to keep in mind that the configured AUTOMAT3D mode is optimized for the most efficient operation. However, manual mode may be preferred when a user is experimenting with new geometries or parameters.

- PUMP – Turn the main system pumps on and off.
- BLOWER – The BLOWER button is used to evacuate vapor from the chamber.
- HEATER – Heat up fluids in the tank to the temperature set point selected from temperature control slider (see below). In Manual Mode, the HEATER button must be on for the BASE to reach and maintain the desired temperature.
- DRAIN – Select the DRAIN button to open the respective valve, then the PUMP button to power-drain the detergent from the tank. The valve automatically stops draining once the liquid reaches the lower liquid level sensor. Residual fluids remain in the plumbing below the lower liquid level sensor.
- SPRAY VALVES – Each of the four sets of spray nozzles is activated by pressing the respective SPRAY VALVE button. There are three sets of upper spray valves: rear, center, and front. There is one lower set of nozzles.
- FAN – The FAN button should be turned on to allow the fans in the cabinet below the tank to keep the BASE electronics cool enough and avoid damage from overheating. In Auto Run Mode, the software will turn the fans on automatically to perform this function.
- FILL – Press the FILL button to fill the BASE tank with freshwater only. The fill valve has a sensor that automatically stops filling the tank once the water reaches the top liquid level sensor. The feature is only used during a cleaning cycle or other non-production cycle. It can also be used to prevent the pH sensors from drying out when the BASE is going to be idle for a long period of time.
- DOSE – The DOSE button fills the tank with detergent through the Dosatrons. The dosing valve automatically stops dosing once the detergent level reaches the top of the tank.
- HEATER SETPOINT – Choose tank temperature setpoint. In Manual Mode, the HEATER button must be on for the BASE to reach and maintain the desired temperature.
