Counseling Services support holistic development—cognitive, emotional, spiritual, behavioral, and relational well-being, while addressing specific problems or needs identified by each student. Individual and group counseling as well as other related services are available through the Center for Counseling. Referral for psychological or psychiatric services are typically handled through the student’s primary care physician, but referral for these services outside the university may also be available through the Center for Counseling or the campus nurse.
The University provides counseling services through the Center for Counseling with the School of Psychology and Counseling.. Graduate student interns under the supervision of a qualified professional provide general counseling and referral services for all regularly enrolled students. Counseling services are strictly confidential and are provided at no cost, except for specialized testing. Special needs unable to be met by campus personnel will be referred off-campus and are at the student’s own expense.
To schedule a confidential appointment, visit the Center for Counseling in Longview Hall, email Counseling@letu.edu, or call 903-233-3490.
