The authorization concept within Transport Express has been extended to control the user access to both TE functions and also to what the user can actually see when they use Transport Express.
This will allow greater granularity for both administrator and non-administrator users and is now fully controlled using SAP roles and authorizations:
- Only show the relevant authorized transport paths for both administrator and non-administrator users so they get a filtered view of the TE world
- Only show the groups/types/projects/custom fields that the user has authorisation to view and select
- Allow users to only be able to perform releases, imports, mark as imported, reset import status, etc. (all operational admin functions) on specific transport paths/target systems only
- Control which parts of the TE configuration admin users are allowed to change
