Administration Users

Users who were previously TE administrators can be removed and converted to “normal” users if required. This will allow users such as the Basis team to be allocated with the required authorizations to perform transport administration and imports but without allowing them to make TE configuration changes.

• If non-administrator users need to carry out approvals they must be setup as approvers for all the required target system control points or setup as priority approvers instead
• For non-administrator users to receive emails for system errors and transport import errors they need to be setup for the relevant paths in /BTI/TE_NOTIFUSR (transaction SM31). This is required for all transport paths and users who require the notifications
• View authorizations MUST be allocated to all administration users. This is done via authorization object Y_TEAUTH_V with * in all fields to allow all TE objects to be seen
