The purpose of the Delta Sync is to improve the efficiency of scheduled data source syncs by targeting only data that has changed at the data source.
When a scheduled sync is triggered, ACM only updates information that has changed since the last scheduled sync.

How it works:

- Once a scheduled sync is triggered, ACM checks for any recent changes to data from the data source.
- Any identified changes are pulled from the data source and updated in ACM, i.e the Delta Sync.
- After the Delta Sync is executed, ACM triggers a process to delete contacts in OpenLDAP that no longer exist in ACM.

The Delta Sync only works for scheduled syncs and not manually triggered syncs. Manually triggered syncs will execute a regular sync task.
