If enabled, the EV routing considers the battery level of your vehicle and traffic, which results in an optimal route.
The routing also adds charging stops and charging time to the total route duration for a precise route itinerary. Added charging stops are always compatible and respect your vehicle profile settings:
- Connector type
- Voltage
- Preferred power range
- Preferred providers
First, the app will ask you about your current battery level:
After a route is created, you can tap Customize the charging along the route:
You can filter charging stations or select a charging station, then tap Charge here:
Tap Edit to view the predicted battery level at the starting point, waypoints, and destination.
When you have a charging station on your route as a waypoint, the route planner shows the following information:
- Predicted battery level upon arrival
- Charging time
- Predicted battery level after charging
- Time when the charging completes
You can specify with what battery level to arrive at the destination. In this case, the planner adjusts the route by extending charging times or including more charging stations as waypoints.
If a route cannot be completed on a single charge, the app adds a charging station to the route automatically. You can choose another station, but such a waypoint cannot be deleted. In case no charging stations were within the range, the app would display an empty battery icon on the map where the battery would reach 0%.
