VISOR ASSEMBLY

Inspect for general condition. Ensure nothing is loose, broken, torn or missing.
• Ensure visors are clear of scratches or crazing that would impede the field of vision.
• Ensure the visor lock for the outer visor can tighten firmly and hold the desired visor position.
• Ensure that NVG mount engages and disengages without impediment.
• If an impediment is found, further inspection and disassembly may be required, please contact Paraclete.
• If NVG plates are held by screws, remove them for inspection. Return helmet to Paraclete if the plates are held by rivets (Only Paraclete can remove the plates of a Legacy NVG Quick-Release).
• After removing NVG plates, ensure that the NVG quick release holes are not elongated or cracked.

• Ensure that the NVG quick release tab is not damaged and moves freely.
• Inspect the visor tracks for damage or dirt that could impede movement.
• Ensure that both visors slide smoothly through the guide tracks.
• Ensure that the inner visor actuator locks into the steel detent and there is no damage to the detent

Any component that fails the above inspections should be replaced within the visor assembly. Turn helmet into Paraclete for repair or a trained local ALSE technician.

Pro tip: “The visor assembly screws do not require high torque.”
