The Nofence collar delivers a pulse through the metal chains, which need to be in contact with the animal’s neck.
The sheep and goat collar delivers a pulse of up to 0.34 joules, while the cattle collar delivers up to 0.7 joules. By comparison, standard electric fence energizers in the EU are up to 5 joules, and some advanced systems can store up to 15 joules.

All Nofence collars are tested to ensure the pulse reaches at least 1.5 kV. This level is needed for the animal to feel the signal and recognize the boundary.
Our testing shows that most animals respond between 1 and 3 kV, which is strong enough to be clear, without being too strong.

Factors like moisture and coat thickness can affect how the animal experiences the pulse.
