1. Charge the batteries (this will take some time): The light on the charger is constant green when the battery is fully charged.
  1. Insert the batteries in the collars: The collars should install important upgrades before being fitted to the animals. Give them at least 1,5 hours. This happens automatically as long as the collar has power and mobile signal.
  1. Download the Nofence app: Search for Nofence in App Store or Google Play.
  1. Activate your account: Use the link you should have received from us by email. You can have a new one sent to you via the login page in the app.
  1. Design a training pasture in the app: Follow the guidelines in guide.nofence.no. The training pasture should have a perimeter fence that closes to make an enclosed pasture, and be in an area the animals are familiar with and feel safe in.
  1. Fit the collars to the animals: Ensure your own and the animals safety when attaching the collars. Be thorough with the fitting, and remember to adjust it if the animals are growing through the season. You will find more information on the next page. NB: Give the animals time to get used to the collar. If your animals are not familiar with wearing anything around their neck, give them time to get used to it before starting the training.
  1. Move the collars into the pasture in the app: Go to the menu and press move to transfer the collars to the pasture you have created. Follow the instructions in the app.
  1. Move the animals into the pasture: The virtual fence is activated as soon as the collars have registered a position within the pasture, and the training can start.
  1. Make people aware: Are your animals grazing in a public area? If so, we recommend using the attached Nofence Grazing Poster, which contains a QR code for the public to scan. You
should also consider excluding trafficked areas from the virtual pasture.
