Using QA/QC – Quality Assurance and Control
ShopFloor QA/QC is an inline process information and reporting tool. It is integrated with the quality measurements built into Microsoft Business Central and comes with a built-in flow that is integrated with Microsoft Business Central Quality Measurements. This flow is ready to run out of the box, but you can also custom tailor the ShopFloor QA/QC process to suit your company’s specific needs.
The custom tailoring can either be done by designing your own quality assurance process and Microsoft Business Central flow, by integrating with a 3rd party stand-alone system or a stand-alone system designed by you.
Using the built-in flow, which is integrated with Microsoft Business Central Quality Measurements
ShopFloor QA/QC is fully integrated in the ShopFloor solutions. The QA/QC is configured in Microsoft Business Central, and the data is also entered in Microsoft Business Central but initiated through the ShopFloor Operator Client.
Working in Microsoft Business Central
The data reported through ShopFloor QA/QC relates to Microsoft Business Central Quality Measurements.
These are entered in Microsoft Business Central on the routing page. Select the routing line you want to work with and open the page.
For each routing line you want associated with QA/QC enter the Quality Measurements.
On the routing line select “Operation” and then “Quality Measurements”. You will open the page below and you can enter the Quality Measurements you wish.
Reporting quality data
The data entered in the QA/QC process is saved for future reference in records in the ShopFloor tables. You can create your own reports, have your BC / NAV partner or NAVEKSA partner develop specific reports defined by you.
You can also create your own queries or pages to inspect the QA/QC data in real time.
Working in the ShopFloor Operator Client
When working on an operation in the ShopFloor Operator Client the operator will have to fill in the QA/QC entries if the item, route or operation has been associated with QA/QC in Microsoft Business Central. The operator may be notified of this in different ways depending on how the QA/QC has been configured in Microsoft Business Central
The operator can fill in the QA/QC information using his PC, tablet, Mobile phone or with a combination of these.

As mentioned in the start of this page the QA/QC part of ShopFloor is highly customizable as is much of ShopFloor.
