Using Dimensions
The general idea is to be able to extend items created through CadConnect with values for different existing Dimension values.
Setup is made from the CadConnect Setup page:
You can set up until 8 different Dimensions. Purpose of the Setup is to map Imported values with a specific BC Dimension.
You must supply CadConnect Dimension number with a sequential number starting with 1. Then you select the BC Dimension you want in CadConnet and the name of that Dimension is shown automatically.
When you run the Import, you will be presented a new section with new fields according to the set-up of Dimensions and you can specify where in the File your Dimension values are:
After the import you can see the Dimension values from the Dropdown-functions in the header as well as in the lines and you have the possibility to modify the values if needed.
Creation of new items from CadConnect to BC will copy and add the dimension values as Default Item Dimensions in BC.
