Managing your stock directly in the online shop can be a vital function in order to keep the orders placed at your shop under control. It enables you to check the stock of a product and display an order button only if the product is available for purchase.

How to set up stock management can be found in the common help, there are two ways to do that: within the myshop server (using stock values in you productlist which are automatically deducted) and on your own server (by establishing a link to your server each time a products information is needed).

To check if a product is in stock (and show or hide the order button accordingly) one important extension exists:

• myshop-is:in-stock

This extension will only be true if the current product (needs to be used within a myshop-block:product) is in stock. Within this condition you can show a message and / or the order button. Of course its counterpart myshop-not-is:in-stock also exists and can be used to determine if a product is not in stock.
