VEHICLE SAFETY AND MAINTENANCE

1. All vehicles undergo biannual NJ DMV inspections on-site.
2. Drivers complete a daily pre-trip inspection before driving. If a vehicle fails inspection, it is immediately removed from service.
3. Vehicles are maintained according to state guidelines and are swept daily, with deep cleanings conducted at least twice per year.
4. After each route, drivers check the vehicle for remaining students.
5. All buses are equipped with two-way radios for emergency communication.
6. If a bus breaks down, a replacement vehicle is dispatched promptly.
7. Lost items are sent to Morris Knolls or Morris Hills High School general office.
8. Smoking is strictly prohibited on all school vehicles at all times.
