Bus Conduct Expectations

BUS CONDUCT EXPECTATIONS

1. Respect the driver and follow all directions.
2. Remain seated until the bus comes to a complete stop.
3. Speak quietly; loud noises distract the driver and pose a safety risk.
4. Do not litter or throw items inside or outside the bus.
5. Profanity is not permitted.
6. Do not tamper with bus equipment.
7. Students and parents are financially responsible for any damage caused.
8. Keep body parts inside the bus; keep aisles clear.
9. Smoking, eating, and drinking are prohibited.
10. The driver is responsible for maintaining order.
11. Discipline issues will be reported to the school via a Student Referral Report.

Disciplinary Procedure

• First Offense*: Parent contact, warning or central detention

• Second Offense: Parent contact and Saturday detention

• Third Offense: Parent contact and in-school suspension

• Further Offenses: May include temporary or long-term bus suspension

Note: When suspended from the bus, parents/guardians are responsible for transporting their student.
