Activating the Site Collection Feature

By installing Social Squared on your Microsoft® SharePoint® 2010 environment, five site collections features, allow you to use Social Squared functionality. The five site collection features are:

• Social Squared Forums
• SocialSquared Forums Active Users
• SocialSquared Forums Popular Topic
• SocialSquared Forums Tagging
• SocialSquared Reporting
  

To administer Social Squared 2010, you must activate the Social Squared Forums collection feature, on at least one site collection.

Use the following steps to activate a Social Squared site collection feature:

!You must be a site collection administrator to complete these steps.

1. In the browser, open the top level site of the site collection where your site exists.
2. Click Site Actions, and then click Site settings.
   
3. On the Site Settings page, under Site Collection Administration, click Site collection features.
4. On the Site Collection Features page, to the right of Social Squared web parts click Activate.
5. To the right of a Social Squared site collection feature, click Activate.
