The term Channel refers to the physical entity that makes the reservation (agency, direct, company, ids etc.): the list of the items that group the sale channels from which our hotel receives the reservations is essential to understand which should be improved and which make our facility successful.
Scrigno allows to group all the channels under general macro segments, in order to carry out detailed surveys not only by channel items, but also by macro sector.

N.B. For multi-property settings, the table is shared by all the hotels of the group.

  1. Channel segment
    The form below summarises the macro groups in which to include all the relevant sale channels needed.

INSERTING A CHANNEL SEGMENT ITEM:
Place the cursor on the first blank row of the table.

  • Click the button.
  • Code field: enter a code for the segment. It cannot consist of more than 5 characters, alphanumeric.
  • Description field: briefly describe the type of sale channel segment.
  • Order field: specify the display order of the item in the table.
  • Click the button to save.

MODIFYING A CHANNEL SEGMENT ITEM:

  • Select the record to be modified.
  • Make the necessary corrections.
  • Click the button to save.

DELETING A CHANNEL SEGMENT ITEM:

  • In the table, select the row to be deleted.
  • Click the button. The deletion will only be possible if the record has never been used before and does not include channel sub-items.
  • Click the button to save.

    The form includes all the channels associated with the segment macro category selected above.

INSERTING A CHANNEL ITEM:
After having selected the relevant channel segment (Note 1), place the cursor on the first blank line of the form shown here:

  • Click the button.
  • Code field: enter a code for the channel. It cannot consist of more than 5 characters, alphanumeric.
  • Description field: briefly describe the sale channel in question.
  • Notification field: the specification is mandatory:
  • The options are:
    • S = this channel item, if used in the reservation, must ALWAYS be accompanied by a specification of the voucher number or the identification number that the channel uses for the reservation in question (See Individual reservation overview and Group reservation overview).
    • N = this channel item, if used in the reservation, does not necessarily have to be accompanied by an identification voucher number.
  • Order field: specify the display order of the item in the general reservation channels table.
  • Click the button to save.

MODIFYING A CHANNEL ITEM

  • Select the record to be modified.
  • Make the necessary corrections.
  • Click the button to save.

DELETING A CHANNEL ITEM:

  • In the table, select the line to be deleted.
  • Click the button. The deletion will be possible only if the record has never been used before.
  • Click the button to save.
