Among the mandatory fields required by a reservation, we will always find origin, market and origin channel. Such information is fundamental for Management and for analysis of the demand trend past and future, thus, the items to be associated with each table must be specified with the utmost coherence and attention for the company’s survey purposes.
We remind that in multi-property environments the tables here illustrated are shared by all the hotels of the group, in order to guarantee a centralised system for the study and the gathering of data.

In the specific case of origin, this is usually understood as the physical source from where the reservation comes (e.g. Web, On Line booking, Direct Mail, GDS), but it can also be adapted for other purposes.

Tables > Reservations > Origin

  1. INSERTING AN ORIGIN ITEM
  • Click the button indicated.
  • Code field: enter an identification code for the origin. The code cannot consist of more than 5 characters and must be alphabetic.
  • Description field: briefly describe the item in question.
  • Order field: specify the display order of the item in the list.
  • Click the button to save.
  1. DELETING AN ORIGIN ITEM
    It is possible to delete an origin item only if this has never been used before.
  • In the form, search for the item to be deleted.
  • Select the record and click the button.
  • Click the button to confirm. If the system does not allow the saving, contact Gp Dati assistance service to evaluate the need to apply modifications to this list of values.
