1.2.4.3.3. Creating a Package

The creation procedure of a package that includes different services (charges) is divided into several stages, as described in the flow diagram at page Package charges. One of these stages is undoubtedly the setup of the services relating to the package and the specification of their respective production value.

For all the charges marked as ‘Packages’, it is necessary to specify the services included, and set the grouping of the amounts to be assigned to the different package components, so that, during the production stage, the different items are correctly valued.
In the setup table of the packages, it is possible to specify for each ‘element’ or ‘ingredient’ item both fixed amounts and split percentage amounts, reminding that, in the calculation of the production, the system deducts from the amount charged fixed amounts first, and then divides the remaining part according to the percentage amounts. (The sum of the percentages must always correspond to 100).

E.g.: Subdivision of the WEEKEND package 100,00 Euros, in a double room.
1. Fixed amount: 10,00 € per person due to the Breakfast revenue.
2. Fixed amount: 10,00 € per person due to the Spa revenues for the access to the centre.
3. Percentage amount 100% (of the remaining part, thus 60,00 euros) due to the accommodation revenues.

1. Select the Package
   Of which you wish to specify the composition.

2. Select the First Item of the Package
   Place the cursor on the first blank line available in the ‘Charge’ table. Press the F9 key and select the first component item of the package in question.

3. Is the service calculated by Presence or by Room?
   Select the field only if the amount set for the component service has to be calculated by presence. Otherwise, for the services to be calculated by room, see note 5.

4. Does the service include a different split amount for children?
   Given that at note 3 we have requested the calculation of the production amount by presence, if children are present, it is possible to differentiate the amount to be calculated for the split of the service.
   By not filling in the table, the amount calculated for adults will be the same also for children categories.

5. Specify the Split Frequency
   Select the frequency with which the split of the component service must be calculated. The options displayed in the F9 menu are:

• *01 produce all nights*= this option is valid for the calculation of the split of the component every night.
  (To be used when the component service is provided all the days in which the package should be applied).
• *02 produce only the first night*= this option is valid for the lump-sum calculation of the split of the component only once during the stay, namely the first night.
  (to be used when the component service is provided only once during the stay, or a number of times inferior to the nights included in the package – see also note 8).

6. Specify the Fixed Amount
   If the selected component service includes a split fixed amount, specify here the corresponding gross amount. Otherwise, go to the next note.

7. Specify the Percentage Amount
   If the selected component service includes a split amount to be calculated in percentage, specify here the corresponding % value.

8. Specify the Quantity
   If the amount or the value inserted for the component service includes a specific number of units to be calculated during the production stage, specify here such information. E.g. Package with accommodation BB of 7 nights, including 2 dinners of 15 euros:
   

9. Save the operation
   By clicking the suggested button. Repeat this procedure for all the components included in the selected package.
